Brian Brueggeman founded BB Ag Sales in 1996 when he began selling
Ciba Seed products in addition to helping his brother Al Brueggeman sell Prairie Brand seed. Brian quickly recognized
that the world of seed was evolving and that he would need to be versatile and flexible to be able to sell
the best seed to his customers.
In 1997, Ciba seed merged with Northrup
King seed. This gave Brian the ability to sell a wider variety of products to customers.
As things began to change Brian made a decision to try some Dekalb seed products in 2001.
The success he had with Dekalb products led him to begin selling Dekalb to customers in 2002. By 2003
Brian dedicated his time to selling Dekalb and Prairie Brand seed products. He eventually dropped NK
brand seeds. Brian still offers Dekalb and Asgrow seed from Monsanto's product line along with Prairie
Brand seed.
In 2003, BB Ag Sales decided to offer chemical
products by establishing a working relationship with Asmus Farm Supply. This relationship played a role in the decision
to partner with Harold Anderson and Al Brueggeman to acquire a 2001 John Deere Sprayer to begin offering custom application
services. Chemical products are still available today and custom application is still an option for our customers with a new 2011
Haggie Sprayer.
Brian's wife, Laurie joined BB Ag Sales in 2011.
Before joining BB Ag Sales, Laurie spent 20 years working leadership roles in Information Services and Materials Management
for 2 different corporations. Laurie has a B.A. in Entrepreneurship and a M.B.A. degree.
In 2012, BB Ag Sales is being renamed to BLB Ag Service to position the company for
the future! Brian continues to believe in using the products he sells so he can provide
his customers with first hand experiences. This allows his customers to make the best informed decisions
possible for their own operation.
